Re: OLMOS86
Hi guys. Just a small note for anyone stumbling upon this topic - let's try to use English where possible when communicating on the forum. We have a community from different countries, so it would be fair to make sure that everyone can understand what you are talking about without resorting to a tra...

Re: Computer Configuration for Trading
Well, being honest - I'm not sure. Second one has more RAM, so that looks like a better choice in long term, but at the same time I can't promise you that JDK-8263710 does not affect 11th gen Intel (JVM developers assume it does not, but we didn't verify that). So there is a slight risk. If you are ...

Re: Computer Configuration for Trading
Hi, First - please define what kind of use case do you have in mind for Bookmap? Requirements will differ wildly depending on if you want to watch a single relatively calm instrument (almost any modern hardware will do) or if you want multiple active instruments with MBO data and a bunch of addons (...

Re: Log4j problem
Hi, Well... Not in a very significant way. We did have some non-critical services that we had to update, but main app is affected in a pretty limited way. Regardless, 7.2 and 7.3 updates with patched log4j are released. It's best to update to be safe, but chances that the practical way to exploit i...

Re: Having multiple memory issues daily. Need help,
I think we are making some progress (SI on chart objects are gone), but now I see that some indicators ended up consuming ~3.7GiB. I'm not 100% sure if it's an issue in Bookmap or in the indicators themselves, but I'd like to locate indicator developers to discuss that directly, as that would be the...

Re: Having multiple memory issues daily. Need help,
>Would you recommend that i lower memory allocation now back down to the 8gb like i always had it or should i stay at 16Gb for the meantime? I'd keep it at 16GiB. It makes it easier to distinguish "inefficient memory usage" from an actual memory leak. > Going to send heap dump to support in a few. ...

Re: Having multiple memory issues daily. Need help,
What you describe sounds like bookmap starts running out of memory (specifically the CPU usage climbing). Until we fix the addon memory leak - I'd recommend to just restart.

Re: Having multiple memory issues daily. Need help,
> My system is using 86% total Ram You might be ok with 32GiB, but having more won't hurt. I've copied part of my reply from elsewhere relevant to this: Bookmap stores data on disk (that big Cache folder that you see), but it does not use "normal" files for that. It uses MMF's, which is a way to tel...
