Re: Computer Configuration for Trading

Hm... Could you try describing "jerkiness"? How often, for how long? Does it happen in "none" mode when not interacting with bookmap? (I think you said it does, but to confirm) I mean, I've seen a case where it was jumping every few seconds (like if 2 frames were swapped, which is probably what happ...

Re: Computer Configuration for Trading

Hi, About that being CPU or GPU issue - it's nearly definitely CPU. Bookmap does not require that powerful GPU, as long as drivers are not glitchy - most GPU's will do just fine. So I'd focus on trying to understand what exactly makes it use CPU. Now, spikes are fine if it is associated with recente...

Re: Computer Configuration for Trading

>If I unload just about everything except Heatmap and Vol Dots my CPU is at 15%. BM is 4-6% Now, that's interesting. So do I get you right that we went from 20-50% to 4-6% in the same use case? Could you please try locate which component is responsible for the difference by turning those on/off? I'd...

Re: Computer Configuration for Trading

Hi. Note that zoom taking resources is normal, as long as zoom by itself does not take long. 1. How long does it take to finish handling the action? 2. Which instrument are you testing zoom on? Note that correlation tracker is known to be pretty heavy. Last trade mode is lighter than mid price, so y...

Re: Computer Configuration for Trading

Hi Tom, Let's start with an easy part - your GPU most likely is fine, except probably something with the driver. Having parts of the image in wrong places is usually indicative of that. You can try working around it using "Settings"->"Disable Direct3d use for UI" checkbox. By default bookmap forces ...

Re: [Simplified API] PositionListener Issue in v7.1.0 build:7

Hi. We don't currently provide position info or balance in replay and client-side simulated trading mode. We are planning to improve the simulator at some point, but currently it's not done.

Re: Increase bookmap ram support of 8Gb to 64Gb and beyond.

Hi, In short: you normally don't need to change the slider. The value selected by default is supposed to be optimal for your system. If you have more than 16GiB of RAM - it will be set to 4GiB, which is a good option for most use cases. For those who want to know more, let me explain how bookmap use...

Which version do you have? (shown in "about" dialog). It's only a part of 7.1, not 7.0.

Re: scrolling up and down the price axis

I believe you are referring to the functionality when you press CTRL and drag the price axis up/down. Should still be there.

Re: Actual API doc availability

Just unzip C:\Program Files\Bookmap\lib\bm-l1api-javadoc.jar with anything that supports zip (you might have to rename it to zip, if your archive program does not recognize it). Then open index.html in your browser and you'll see the list of classes/packages with descriptions (wherever those are pre...
